As a former workaholic, dedicated mother, and wife navigating my own history of abuse and trauma, my healing adventure began unexpectedly following a traumatic brain injury and the eventual sale of my thriving business. Despite decades of talk therapy, true transformation came when I encountered a soulful healer who guided me towards profound inner healing through somatic practices including Reiki, intuitive insights, IFS, and guided meditations. With a life desire to help people heal, I embraced the universe's guidance and embarked on a journey of healing and learning. I became a Reiki Master, a somatic (body based) sexologist, IFS certified, and trauma informed.
Today, as a soulful healer, and somatic sex coach, I integrate traditional training with somatic and spiritual practices to guide individuals towards embodied healing and sexual empowerment. I help my clients transform their lives by resolving emotional scars, learn who they really are, what their life desires are, and how to communicate them to others. I believe if you can ask for what you want in the bedroom, you can ask for anything including that raise at work. My mission is to offer a compassionate space where clients can reclaim their bodies, explore pleasure with confidence, and cultivate profound self-awareness.
Becoming a somatically trained sexologist is a cumulation of all my life’s experience. From my traumatic early years to managing multimillion-dollar projects for fortune 100 companies, my life’s journey has been focused on understanding my desires as well as how my past affected my current behaviors.
I lived through the 80’s as a wild single guy experiencing all life had to offer. I then married the love of my life in 1993 and we went on to experience all the joys and trials a married couple can.
From infidelity and pornography addiction to the healing power of truth and restorative sex. In my 30+ years of marriage, I’ve struggled and worked thru my personal trauma as well as helped and supported dozens of men with intimacy, image, pornography, and sexual performance issues. During that time, I lead groups around men’s sexual issues working thru programs such as Sex Addicts Anonymous that treated my sexuality like a disease. Then, I moved to more progressive programs such as Celebrate Recovery.
Working thru trauma with the help of courses like “The Body Keeps the Score”® and neurolinguistic programing (NLP) therapy helped me to learn to ground myself and opened doors to training in embodiment practices, such as tantric yoga, and studying the karma sutra and the Tao of sexuality. Five years ago, while in a marriage counseling session, our counselor suggested we teach others the skills we have learned. After deep introspection, we decided on the Somatica® Institute to round out our education as somatic sexologists.
